Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification.

Details

• Radiology department at a 298-bed teaching hospital offering a full continuum of medical specialties
• CT/X-Ray tech position where CT is the primary focus but X-ray experience is also required
• 8-hour afternoon shift, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
• Weekend requirements TBD and holiday coverage required if needed
• On-call possible
• No 10 or 12-hour shift accommodations will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of current CT experience required
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Active BLS certification (AHA) required
• Massachusetts Radiology license required, if applicable
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Skills checklist for Computed Tomography current within 1 year required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high-stress, work-intensive environment
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking
• Perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT scan tasks including IV insertion and injections
• May be assigned independent responsibilities by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or Facility Director
• May assume supervisory or instructional responsibilities for department personnel as determined by Manager or Director
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, including use of Tiger Text messaging platform
• Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems
• Demonstrates ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications
• Practices infection control in compliance with departmental, hospital, and OSHA standards
• Completes annual mandatory education including blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation
• Maintains department competencies as required
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and all requests must be submitted at the time of profile submission
