Schedule

This position offers a schedule of three 12-hour shifts, from Friday to Sunday, with hours from 1900 to 0730. There is no call requirement associated with this role.

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification
• Washington State certification as a radiologic technologist, with registration in X-Ray and CT
• Experience with Shimadzu portable equipment
• Familiarity with Rad Speed Pro, GE/OEC C-arms, and operating room experience
• Experience with Toshiba CT scanners
• Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system
• BLS certification

Job Functions

• Prepare for and perform all examinations while operating assigned equipment safely and according to protocols.
• Evaluate the diagnostic image for technical quality.
• Develop, initiate, and monitor procedures for effective utilization of the scanner.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the scanner and associated equipment in accordance with infection control policies.
• Perform IV access using sterile technique and administer contrast media under physician supervision.
• Understand and adhere to all universal blood and body substance precautions, along with personal protective equipment requirements.
• Comply with all continuing education requirements dictated by regulatory entities.
• Utilize the current EMR efficiently and complete required documentation for each examination performed.
• Lift and transfer patients using safe ergonomic techniques and appropriate patient handling devices.
• Communicate with patients’ family members or caregivers when necessary.
