We're seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a high-performing imaging team at UNC Health Pardee. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you'll perform a wide range of CT exams for outpatients, inpatients, and emergency department patients while utilizing some of the newest CT technology available.

With recent Level III Trauma Center designation, a growing CT department, and access to advanced GE imaging platforms, this assignment is ideal for CT Techs looking to expand their skills and work with diverse patient populations.

What You'll Do

  • Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures on outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department patients
  • Establish IV access and administer contrast media as needed
  • Review imaging orders and collaborate with radiologists when clarification is required
  • Select appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters for optimal image quality
  • Assist physicians with image-guided procedures, biopsies, drain placements, chest tube placements, blood patches, and more
  • Safely operate advanced CT imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards
  • Educate patients and provide exceptional patient-centered care throughout the imaging process
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements

 

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

ARRT (CT) Certification Required

✅ Experience performing CT imaging procedures independently

✅ Strong understanding of human anatomy and cross-sectional imaging

✅ Experience interpreting complex imaging orders

✅ Current BLS Certification required by start date

✅ Experience with IV placement and contrast administration preferred

✅ PACS experience preferred

✅ Experience with Abbott i-STAT or similar point-of-care testing systems preferred

✅ EPIC experience preferred

✅ Ability to work in a high-volume environment serving emergency, inpatient, and outpatient populations
