Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2-3 years of hospital-based CT experience for a weekend-only 12-hour day shift assignment.

Details

• Hospital CT unit with 5 scanners
• Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, and ER cases, with occasional pediatric patients (teenagers, approximately 2-3 monthly)
• Case types include general anatomy, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and head scans
• Performs procedural work including biopsies and drains
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses GE equipment, with GE Revolution and Evo preferred
• EPIC EMR used for charting
• Weekend-only schedule with 12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• 36 standard hours per week
• No floating required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of CT experience required
• BLS and ARRT-CT certification required
• License required if applicable
• Hospital setting experience required with the listed patient types and procedures
• GE equipment experience required, with GE Revolution and Evo preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in the specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Support on the unit includes other CT techs, Radiology RNs, RRT, Code Blue team, and centralized transport
• Orientation consists of 3 shifts to learn unit flow
• Holiday coverage expected for 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• Any scrub color accepted except camo or denim

• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
• Staff must adhere to a fatigue policy limiting work to no more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
