Job Summary:
CT Technologist position located at a healthcare facility. The role involves operating computed tomography (CT) imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patients, including pediatric cases. The position requires coordination with radiology nurses, radiology support staff, and other medical professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Certifications and Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ARRT-CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography) certification preferred; general CT experience from a hospital setting; experience with GE Revolution and Evo CT equipment preferred; at least 2-3 years of relevant experience required.
- Patient Types: Inpatient, outpatient, emergency, with some pediatric cases (approximately 2-3 per month); procedures include general anatomy imaging, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alerts, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, head; procedural experience such as biopsies and drain placements.
- Support on the Unit: Collaboration with radiology nurses, radiology support staff, code blue team, and centralized transport.
- Charting System: EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Floating: No floating required.
- Orientation: A 3-shift orientation period to learn workflow.
- Scheduling: No weekend rotation; no on-call required.
- Holiday Expectations: One summer holiday and one winter holiday.
- Fatigue Policy: Staff, including travelers, cannot work more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts.
- Additional Notes: No specific scrub color restrictions; no camo or denim allowed; free parking provided.
