Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 3+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a role requiring on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Details

  • Hospital-based CT Scan department setting
  • 1st shift schedule, 5x8s Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Call, weekends, and holidays required
  • Performs CT procedures, computer processing, and related imaging techniques

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist
  • 1 year of mammography diagnostic experience required
  • Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program validated by active ARRT certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ARRT Registry in Radiography RT(R)
  • Current ARRT (CT) certification
  • State radiation license required if applicable
  • Experience with Siemens equipment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and eye-hand coordination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills

Additional Information

  • Performs CT procedures and produces quality diagnostic images for radiologist review
  • Verifies patient orders, identity, and history prior to exams
  • Performs and documents peripheral venipuncture as needed for exams
  • Monitors patients continuously throughout exams and documents incidents in the electronic health record
  • Assists radiologists and providers with exams and procedures
  • Completes equipment warm-up and quality control checks, including room checks and contrast reaction monitoring
  • Adjusts exam protocols for pediatric patients per ACR Image Gently guidelines
  • Utilizes radiation protection and ALARA principles for patients and staff
  • Assists with training new employees on equipment functionality and exam protocols
  • Provides supervision and instruction to imaging students during clinical rotations
  • Participates in image peer review and ACR accreditation initiatives
  • Wears assigned personal dosimetry
