CT Technologist

Job Summary

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures that require independent judgment and initiative to utilize prescribed CT techniques for diagnostic purposes. The role demands a high level of expertise in completing routine diagnostic procedures and the ability to prioritize and organize daily workflows effectively.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Shift Time: 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM
• Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend
• On-Call Requirements: No on-call responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced CT procedures with proficiency.
• Utilize independent judgment to apply CT techniques for accurate diagnosis.
• Obtain intravenous access as required for procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage daily workflow.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT/PET imaging.
• Experience with EPIC EMR systems is required.
• Current New York State License and ARRT certification in CT is mandatory.
• Experience with contrast injection is required.
• GE scanner experience is preferred.
• Travelers must have their own vehicle.

Compliance and Training Requirements

• COVID vaccinations are strongly encouraged.
• Completion of training from designated groups is required for onboarding and clearance.
• Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable training.

Dress Code

Personal scrubs of any color are permitted, but designs or cartoons are not allowed. Hoodies are also prohibited.

Cancellation Policy

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 5 shifts per 13-week contract with a 2-hour notice.
