CT Technologist

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced environment. This role demands a high level of technical expertise and patient care.

Position Information:

• Department: CT Scan
• Specialty: CT Tech
• Shift: Variable (4x9s or 3x12s)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: As needed
• Call Requirements: Occasional standby requirements

Qualifications:

• Required Certifications: BLS, ARRT, ARRT Advanced Certification, Maine License
• Years of Experience: 1-2 years
• GE Experience: Required; experience with GE Optima 660 and/or GE Revolution preferred
• RTO: 7 days maximum
• Out of State Travelers: Welcome

Unit Information:

• Patient Ratios: 74 Daily Caseload
• Equipment: GE
• EHR: Epic
• Patient Population: Primarily adult patients

Responsibilities:

The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing excellent patient care. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting CT scans of various body parts, including chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, and extremities
• Executing CT procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and angiographies as needed
• Collaborating with physicians to analyze and interpret images
• Maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to safety standards

Skills and Experience:

• Must Have Skills: Inpatient, ER, Community Hospital experience; proficient in IV starts, contrast administration, and various imaging techniques
• Preferred Skillset: Outpatient experience; familiarity with PACS, CT arthrography, drainage procedures, myelography, and Epic system
• Common Diagnoses: Cancer, trauma, pulmonary embolism, stroke, etc.
