Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CT Technologist with ARRT-CT certification and at least 2 years of experience to support a busy CT Scan department.

Details

• 244-bed acute care hospital with 16 ED beds, ~20 ICU beds, and ~40 progressive care beds, TJC Stroke accredited, no trauma designation
• CT department averages 68 studies per day, serving ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient patients
• Performs CT-guided invasive procedures and anesthesia cases as needed; does not perform cardiac CT imaging
• Equipment includes 2 CT scanners (Siemens Definition AS 64, GE VCT 64) and Bayer/Medrad power injectors
• EMR is Epic, RIS is Epic Radiant, PACS is Philips iSite
• 3x12 day shifts, Wed-Fri 7a-7p, 36 hours per week
• Some current vacancies for full-time Thu-Sun 9p-7a shift
• Weekend call coverage required, 2 shifts every 5 weeks
• No floating required

Requirements

• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
• Current BLS certification
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Skilled in starting peripheral IVs, venous and arterial phase scanning, and multi-phase scanning
• Experience with stroke imaging including perfusion studies and colorectal studies
• TeraRecon knowledge preferred but not required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Support all patient types with excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Guest services and transport support available for inpatient and observation patients
• Administrative onboarding includes 1 day for Epic and eLearnings, plus 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO subject to manager approval
• Black scrub color required

• Traveler's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
