Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification.

Details

  • CT Tech unit within a Level 1 trauma acute care facility
  • 5 scanners/rooms in the department
  • May float to outpatient areas as needed
  • Performs a wide variety of imaging studies and procedures
  • Averages approximately 25 scans/studies per day
  • Uses Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS
  • Equipment includes GE and Siemens scanners
  • Radiologist is in-house and department is supervised by a Radiology Supervisor/Lead Tech
  • 12-hour night shifts, Wednesday-Friday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required
  • No self-scheduling or block scheduling available
  • No call or standby requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • ARRT (CT) certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • GE and Siemens experience preferred
  • Must be able to start IVs
  • Acute care, Level 1 trauma hospital experience
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

  • Performs a broad range of CT imaging studies and procedures across the department
  • Department-specific orientation provided in addition to general facility orientation
  • Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week even if initial modules are remote
  • Black scrubs required and provided
  • May be asked to float within the broader hospital zone during periods of extreme need
  • Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this role
