Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is based in a healthcare facility where the role involves producing computerized tomography (CT) scan images of various anatomical areas under the supervision of certified radiologists. The technologist will assist radiologists with procedures, supervise student radiologic technologists, and ensure patient safety and quality care throughout imaging procedures. The position requires maintaining professionalism and excellent customer relations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 PM 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, registration in Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Card, and one year of experience as a radiologic technologist or equivalent.
- Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals, successful completion of an accredited Computed Tomography (CT) program, ARRT certification in CT, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform and teach CT exams.
- Additional Information: The role involves frequent standing, walking, patient lifting, and exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and radiation. Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, familiarity with OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards, and the ability to operate standard office equipment. The position may require working under stressful conditions, taking call, and working on weekends or holidays based on departmental needs.
