Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) at a general healthcare facility. This role involves preparing and performing advanced imaging procedures to acquire high-quality diagnostic data. The position requires effective patient interaction, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with radiology colleagues to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Science; registration as a CT technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT); good understanding of human anatomy demonstrated through education or experience; experience reading and interpreting complex radiology orders.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience using point-of-care-testing platforms such as Abbott i-Stat; certification and experience working with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Additional Information: Conducts computerized tomography (CT) screening, ensures the safe functioning of equipment, and prioritizes quality imaging. Reads and understands imaging orders, engages with radiologists when clarification is needed, steers patients through procedures with cultural sensitivity and professionalism, and establishes intravenous access for contrast injections when applicable.
