Job Summary: As a CT Technologist, you will independently perform imaging procedures, competently executing a variety of technical tasks that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Independently performs computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration.
- Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data, completing procedures according to protocol.
- Demonstrates proper technique in venipuncture and the use of power injectors according to set protocols.
- Administers PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and department policy, assessing patients for potential risk factors prior to administration.
- Interacts effectively with both patients and co-workers, displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect.
- Communicates instructions to patients clearly and concisely, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and solicit cooperation.
- Identifies all patients properly using two patient identifiers and utilizes universal protocol when performing procedures.
- Documents patient history in electronic records as required and ensures all exams are properly coded and tracked.
- Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors and other duties as assigned.
Education and Knowledge Requirements:
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
- CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
- 2 years of experience is required.

- Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- PA Act 31
