Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience performing both CT and X-ray exams independently in a 60-bed acute care facility.

Details

  • 60-bed acute-care, full-service hospital with a Level III trauma designation
  • 24-hour Emergency Department with fully accredited Chest Pain Center
  • Diagnostic Radiology department covering Cat Scan and X-Ray
  • Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working alongside a night ultrasound tech
  • 36 guaranteed weekly hours with every other weekend required, including 12 weekend hours
  • No mandatory call, though on-call support is available for OR cases and high-volume periods
  • Average nightly volume of 5-6 CT scans and 8-10 X-rays, ER census dependent
  • Serves all patient populations with minimal pediatric cases
  • Equipment includes GE VCT main CT scanner, Discovery RT backup scanner, GE Difinium collapsible column portables, and GE XR646 digital X-ray rooms
  • Uses Meditech EHR and Change Healthcare (McKesson PACS) imaging system

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Ability to perform both CT and X-ray exams independently
  • CT and X-Ray license and OBMI State License required (License required if applicable)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Surgery C-Arm and Fluoroscopy experience preferred
  • Comfortable working with all patient populations including minimal pediatric cases
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with night shift staff and providers
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Support inpatient and ED exams, including stabilize/ship workflow for trauma and stroke cases
  • Some order prep tasks during slower shift periods
  • Supportive team environment with hospital-wide orientation training provided
  • Weekly orientation held on Mondays
  • Facility provides and launders light blue scrub sets, or candidates may wear any solid color scrubs
  • Open-toed shoes and shorts are not permitted
  • Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
