Job Summary:

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT imaging procedures while demonstrating professionalism and service excellence. Key responsibilities include obtaining necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies, maintaining sterility of instruments, preparing requisitions, and ensuring patient privacy and dignity. The technologist will verify patient identification, monitor patient conditions before and after contrast injections, and report any sudden changes to the nursing staff and radiologist. Additional duties include maintaining adequate supplies, cleaning equipment and work areas, adhering to venipuncture and power injector protocols, and ensuring compliance with QA/QC requirements. The CT Technologist will also coordinate emergency and unscheduled procedures, assess patient tolerance for contrast, and communicate effectively with other departments to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or College-based Radiography program
• ARRT RT (R) certification
• ARRT RT (CT) certification
• NJDEP – New Jersey State X-Ray License
• BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• CT registered
• CPR certification
