Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CT equipment; transfer and position patients using accepted safety and lifting standards, applying immobilization devices as necessary
- Obtain patient identification, allergy history, and pertinent medical history prior to procedures
- Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously per radiologist protocol; monitor patients for allergic reactions and respond appropriately, including providing basic CPR in emergency situations
- Capture, store, transfer, and archive electronic/digital images; maintain permanent image files and records for each patient
- Perform daily equipment calibration and quality control; maintain image quality in accordance with department guidelines and ensure proper equipment repair is completed
- Assist radiologists and physician specialists with specialized radiological procedures; review and document pertinent patient history to support diagnostic interpretation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
- Experience with Philips CT equipment required
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Must adhere to radiation safety standards and regulations as set forth by applicable state health authorities
- Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and may be subject to an adjusted travel rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel/contract assignment experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Skills checklist completed within the past year preferred
