Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scanning, general X-ray, and fluoroscopy procedures, including coverage in the OR setting
• Position and immobilize patients on the examining table using supportive devices and Radiologist-specified protocols
• Administer oral and/or IV contrast media as ordered by the referring physician or Radiologist
• Enter technical scan parameters into the CT scanner computer and monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure
• Evaluate images for technical quality and maintain responsibility for all CT area Quality Control requirements
• Transport patients, maintain accurate records, practice sterile technique and Universal Precautions, and restock supplies as needed

Required Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program from an AMA-approved school
• Active ARRT registration required
• Registered/Certified CT Technologist credential required
• BLS Certification required
• Ability to perform X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures, including in the OR
• Physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment (up to 80 lbs. unassisted; up to 250 lbs. with assistance) and manual dexterity sufficient to start an IV

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of two years of experience as a CT/Radiology Technologist preferred
• Experience with special procedures and OR fluoroscopy
• Familiarity with PACS systems and CT scanner data entry workflows
