Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Level 2 CT Tech Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10.0 Monday – Thursday Hours per Shift: 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM EST Experience: Minimum of 2 years Level 1 Trauma Center Experience License: State licensure required prior to starting position Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) required Must-Have: Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology. Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Description: Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan. Strictly adhere to department policy and procedure for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility. Utilize safe patient handling techniques. Maintain accurate patient records by properly documenting all necessary components. Identify images and ensure they are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
