IV start skills and biopsy experience are highly preferred. Description: ASAP start needed. This technologist would primarily work in X-ray; however, may be rotated into CT. Shifts can consist of 3 shifts of 12 hours or can accommodate 4 shifts of 10 hours if needed. The facility has 1 CT room, 1 PET CT room (used as a backup CT machine), and 3 X-ray rooms. On average, the department sees 25-30 patients per day. First-time travelers are welcome. Patient types include adult and geriatric patients, with some pediatrics. Common diagnoses in CT include ED, outpatient, and inpatient cases, with a focus on oncology and trauma. Training will be provided for biopsies and cardiac CTA studies. In X-ray, the department covers outpatient, inpatient, emergency, ICU, and operating room cases. Preferred experience includes OR/C-arm and fluoroscopy, but candidates should be comfortable being trained in these areas. The department has support from lead technicians, internal transport, and radiologists who are available remotely for consultation. The facility utilizes EMR and PACS systems with specific brands of CT and X-ray equipment. Technologists may float between CT and X-ray and may assist in the operating room with bedside portables as needed. Holiday expectations will be managed in rotation with other technicians. The scheduling cycle operates in 6-week increments, managed by the department manager. Scrub color is flexible; any solid color or hospital-issued scrubs are acceptable.
