Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years minimum License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, ARRT CT, CA CRT required Must-Have: Must be open to all shift times; cannot accommodate specific shift requests. Variable schedule required, with the unit working to keep clinicians on day variances, night variances, or grave shifts. Must be able to work independently and efficiently. Community hospital experience required. Experience with GE and Toshiba equipment preferred. Description: This is a very high-volume, fast-paced facility. Technologists may be asked to do their own transport based on staffing needs. The facility has a high need for the graveyard shift. Candidates must be open to working three of the five major holidays. Start times for CT are 6:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., or 5:45 p.m. The ratio for patient care is 1:1. Weekend requirements may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs. No call is required, and floating between like units is not needed. Trained skills for the role include abdomen scans with and without contrast, adult acute care, biopsies, brain perfusion, cervical scans, and more. The department sees a predominantly high volume of emergency department patients and serves as a primary stroke receiving center. There is transport support for this department, but technologists are encouraged to assist when needed. Special equipment utilized includes a 64-slice Toshiba Aquilion scanner and a 64-slice GE Lightspeed scanner. All required documentation must be submitted during the application process. Two references covering one year of experience are needed prior to the start. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities if necessary.
