Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center, requiring 2+ years of recent CT experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center radiology department
• Performs CT exams on trauma, ER, outpatient, inpatient, ICU, and research patients, including CT-guided procedures
• Night shift schedule: Sunday-Tuesday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (three 12-hour shifts)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Every weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent experience in CT required
• Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology program and high school graduate
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or limited permit to practice in NY required, if applicable
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform technical procedures and assist in clinical evaluation and care of patients under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist
• Support teaching and continuous learning as imaging technology evolves
• Practice and enforce radiation safety measures per NY State Department of Health code part 16
• Provide a safe and positive diagnostic imaging experience for patients
• Flu vaccine required with only medical exemptions accepted; personal or religious declinations not accepted
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible for this position
