- Weekly Pay:$2800 to $3000
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare patients for CT examinations by reviewing medical history, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
- Safely administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Operate CT scanners and imaging equipment while maintaining exceptional image quality
- Evaluate completed images for diagnostic accuracy before submitting them for radiologist interpretation
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS
- Follow radiation safety practices, infection prevention standards, and departmental policies
- Perform routine equipment quality control checks and report maintenance issues promptly
- Provide compassionate care during routine, urgent, and emergency imaging procedures
Requirements
- Active California Radiologic Technologist License
- ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
- ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred or required by the facility
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience performing a wide range of CT procedures in an acute care hospital
- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, contrast administration, and radiation safety
- Experience using PACS and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts
