Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Level 2 CT Tech Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday - Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM EST) Experience: - Two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required License: - NYS licensure is required prior to starting the position Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) required Must-Have: - Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology - Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Effective written and verbal communication skills - A patient and compassionate disposition - Ability to work as a team player and maintain a cohesive working environment Description: Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan. Strictly adhere to department policy and procedure for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to ensure their comfort. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Knowledge of imaging equipment preferred. Willingness to complete injection certification during the orientation process.
