Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scanning procedures to produce cross-sectional radiographs for diagnostic purposes, including entering scan parameters and evaluating image quality
• Perform X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures, including coverage in the OR setting
• Position and immobilize patients on the examining table using supportive devices in accordance with Radiologist protocols
• Administer contrast media orally and/or intravenously as ordered by the referring physician or Radiologist
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures and communicate with patients via intercom system
• Maintain Quality Control for the CT area, keep accurate records, practice sterile technique and Universal Precautions, and restock supplies as needed

Required Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology program at an AMA-approved school
• ARRT registration required
• CT Technologist registration/certification required
• BLS Certification required
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment (40-80 lbs. unassisted; 80-250 lbs. with assistance)
• Manual dexterity sufficient to start an IV

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum two years of previous CT or radiology experience
• Experience performing fluoroscopy and OR-based imaging procedures
• Familiarity with contrast media administration protocols
