Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Technologist Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: Not specified Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT) or R.T. (R) Certifications: Advanced Certification in the modality of CT required in certain states Must-Have: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Fluoroscopy license in state of employment preferred, Venipuncture certification preferred Description: Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment. Produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. Accurately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients of various ages. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for interpretation. Uses a PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images. Maintains accurate records and ensures integrity of patient medical images and data. Adheres to confidentiality guidelines and regulations. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment. Manages supply inventory. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients is required through vaccinations and compliance with health policies.
