Description:
The Multimodality Tech performs CT scans and radiographic exams.
They produce computerized tomographic scans and diagnostic radiographs of designated anatomical areas as directed.
This role involves obtaining patient history and explaining routine procedures to address patient concerns.
The work schedule includes Friday through Sunday, with two days and one night shift.
Friday shifts run from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM at the main campus.
Saturday shifts are from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM and Sunday shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
An on-call rotation is required among staff, with weekend work possibly required if shifts are not filled.
Candidates must have satisfactorily completed an AMA approved school of radiological technology.
They must also be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by the South Carolina Clienttion Quality Standards Association.
Certification in CPR is also required from the American Heart Association.
A radiation badge must be provided by the agency, as it is necessary for this role.
All applicants should be aware that they may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season.
This season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September.
