- Weekly Pay:$2,300 to $2,500
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols
- Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, explaining examinations, and addressing questions or concerns
- Verify patient identification, examination orders, and relevant clinical information
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Operate CT scanners safely and efficiently while following facility and manufacturer protocols
- Select appropriate scanning parameters and protocols based on the examination requested
- Administer contrast media as authorized and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Evaluate images for technical quality and repeat scans when necessary
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR and PACS
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues or equipment malfunctions promptly
- Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, HIPAA, and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe CT imaging environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience
- ARRT certification with CT credentials preferred or required by facility
- Active Indiana Radiologic Technologist license, as applicable
- Current BLS Certification required
- Strong knowledge of CT anatomy, positioning, protocols, and radiation safety
- Experience with contrast administration and patient monitoring preferred
- Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced imaging environment
