Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift with Call Rotation Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Must be licensed by the State Department of Health. Certifications: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must-Have: - Graduation from an approved school of radiology technology. - Flexibility to work overtime as needed as well as on-call duty. - Good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics. - Must maintain continuing education and meet the required continuing education credits. - Current BLS certification required. Description: Under the direct supervision of the Imaging Director and the guidance of the radiologist, the CT Technologist performs radiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. The technician works effectively with patients and their families. Consultation with other departments is conducted as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities. The employee will demonstrate the ability to manage time and maintain a safe and clean environment. Practicing confidentiality and treating all persons with respect and professional courtesy is essential. Acceptance of change and support for the mission and vision of the organization is expected. The employee must accept and provide constructive feedback and be a team player. Adherence to infection control, fire and safety, disaster, and hazardous waste policies is required. Competencies for the position must be demonstrated, and adherence to policies and procedures is vital. Other duties may be assigned as directed. Overnight housing accommodations may be available for out-of-town employees.
