Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Level 4 NICU/Pediatric Cardiac unit requiring CRT certification and 2+ years of pediatric, neonate, and infant experience.
Details
- Work in a Level 4 NICU with a Pediatric Cardiac patient population at a teaching hospital
- CRT NICU unit providing respiratory care to neonatal, infant, and pediatric patients
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Holiday rotation and every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within scope may be required depending on experience
- Floating to sister facilities not required
- Epic EMR used, experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience required
- Pediatric, neonate, and infant experience required
- CRT certification required
- BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- RRT certification preferred
- AHA-issued certifications only
- South Carolina RCP license required if applicable, must be in hand at time of start
- Teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- Bronchoscopy care experience preferred
- Airway management devices/suctioning and extubation skills required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Driver's license and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal, infant, and pediatric patients in a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- First-time travelers accepted
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
- All RTO must be submitted at time of application; approval based on manager and unit needs
- Candidates within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and may be accepted on a case-by-case basis
- Scrub color is Caribbean Blue
- During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
