Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics (CRT) unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital setting
• Care for both adult and pediatric patients in the ICU
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekend work required every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including between like units and to sister campuses
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• RRT or CRT certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• State or compact license required to begin assignment - license required if applicable
• Pending licenses not accepted
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• At least 1 supervisor reference required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory and neuro diagnostic care within a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
• Maximum of 4 days RTO allowed, with only 1 holiday able to be approved
• All callouts for scheduled shifts require a makeup shift as deemed necessary by the department
• Day shift assignments may only be extended once; extension limits vary for night shift
• Travelers must wait 6 months after reaching extension limits before reapplying
• Previous employees must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted within 50 miles of the main campus
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
