Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool night shift position requiring previous travel nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool unit within a hospital setting
• Covers multiple ICU environments including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care unit (PCCU)
• Also cares for ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating to a variety of ICUs required
• 48 hours per week available for candidates interested in additional hours

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Experience floating across a variety of ICU units highly desired
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year required (charge nurse references not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Medical exemption required for flu declination; personal or religious exemptions not accepted
• Competency test required, with up to 2 attempts to pass

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing support across multiple ICU specialties as part of a float pool team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week assignment may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• RTO must be requested at time of submission
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
