- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, days (07:00 - 19:30) and nights (19:00 - 07:30)
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license required in Washington, DC
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience within the last 7 years
- At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to work in high-acuity critical care and intermediate care environments
- Experience with Cerner preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and alarm management skills
- Comfortable floating across MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC, and ED/PACU for ICU/IMC boarders
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled bedside care for critically ill patients across multiple ICU and intermediate care units
- Monitor, assess, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition with accuracy and urgency
- Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, CRRT, EVDs, and other advanced ICU therapies
- Administer medications, titrate cardiac drips, and support complex hemodynamic monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain strong alarm management practices and a team-oriented approach to patient care
- Adapt quickly to changing patient assignments and unit needs across the hospital
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality critical care throughout every shift
