This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Must be available to work during winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RN - Float Critical Care to provide high-quality patient care in a combined ICU and CCU setting. The candidate must be proficient in critical care practices and demonstrate the ability to float within their skillset, including ICU, CCU, CTICU, and Step Down units.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for critically ill patients, including those on ventilators and requiring advanced cardiac care.
• Perform procedures such as arterial line management, phlebotomy, and IV therapy initiation and maintenance.
• Monitor patient status, interpret ABG results, and manage dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with post-cardiac surgery recovery and care of patients in step-down units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in critical care.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with Swan-Ganz catheter and exposure to IABP, Impella, and VAD is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system is preferred.
