Position Overview
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will perform a wide range of laboratory testing and procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely patient results.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing
- Analyze, verify, and report laboratory results accurately
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation
- Follow laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures
- Collect and process biological specimens as needed
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, CLIA, CAP, and regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot equipment and testing inconsistencies
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to support patient care
- Adhere to infection control and laboratory safety protocols
Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field
- Current CA CLS License
- Current CA BLS Certification
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and regulatory standards
