Clinical Lab Technologist – Anatomic Pathology Supervisor


Address: 1901 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10029
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 35 hours/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lab Technologist with strong Anatomic Pathology (AP) experience and laboratory supervisory expertise to oversee operations across multiple AP laboratory areas in New York City.

The ideal candidate will have an active NYS Histotechnician (HT) license, at least 4 years of Anatomic Pathology experience, and demonstrated experience supervising laboratory staff and overseeing laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Anatomic Pathology laboratories.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to laboratory personnel.
  • Oversee operations in:
    • Histology
    • Cytopathology, currently limited to send-out testing with plans for future expansion
    • Gross Room
    • Mortuary Chemistry Laboratory
  • Ensure laboratory procedures are performed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Monitor workflow, quality, staffing, and operational performance.
  • Support laboratory policies, procedures, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with physicians, laboratory leadership, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Identify operational needs and assist with process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to laboratory staff.
