This role works closely with the Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG), transportation offices, unit representatives, and commercial/military air carriers to ensure accurate manifesting, documentation, and tracking of personnel. Description:

The Travel Clerk (A/DACG) provides administrative and coordination support for air passenger movements and deployment/redeployment travel activities. This role works closely with the Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG), transportation offices, unit representatives, and commercial/military air carriers to ensure accurate manifesting, documentation, and tracking of personnel. The Travel Clerk ensures all travel records, reservations, and movement schedules are prepared in accordance with established policies, regulatory requirements, and mission timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, verify, and maintain travel manifests and passenger documentation for inbound and outbound air movements.
• Coordinate with the A/DACG, unit movement officers, and air carriers to confirm schedules, passenger counts, baggage requirements, and special handling needs.
• Review travel orders, ensure completeness, and resolve discrepancies with units or transportation staff.
• Enter and update traveler information in transportation or movement‑tracking systems.
• Provide customer service support to personnel regarding travel requirements, reporting instructions, documentation needs, and movement timelines.
• Assist with check‑in procedures, identification verification, baggage screening coordination, and loading documentation.
• Maintain organized travel files, logs, and movement records in compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare daily activity reports, passenger counts, and movement summaries for supervisors or military counterparts.
• Communicate changes in schedules or requirements promptly to all affected parties.
• Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, record reconciliation, and correspondence.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in travel administration, transportation coordination, passenger services, or related clerical work.
• Experience with government or DoD travel procedures preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with passenger manifesting systems or transportation databases is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret travel orders, movement instructions, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, recordkeeping accuracy, and ability to work under time‑sensitive conditions.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in an operational environment that may require schedule flexibility.
• High School Diploma / GED preferred.

• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

• Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation result and obtain and maintain a CAC.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Commercial Driver License with Passenger Endorsement.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, or assist near aircraft movement areas as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry moderate loads such as passenger documents or small bags (generally up to 25 lbs).

Pay & Benefits:

 

Hourly Compensation: $17.75

Hourly Health & Welfare: $5.09

 

This position is contingent upon contract award and funding.  Applicants selected may be offered a job - but cannot begin work until funding has been confirmed.
