Description

American Traveler is hiring a Charge RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring Critical Access Hospital experience and prior charge nurse experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring in a Critical Access Hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12hr shifts, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating to the Emergency Department required
  • Serves as Charge RN during shifts

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NH or Compact)
  • Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years current Med/Surg experience required
  • Previous charge nurse experience required
  • Critical Access Hospital experience highly preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
  • BSN highly preferred
  • Med/Surg skills checklist required for consideration
  • One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required

Additional Information

  • Facility works closely with local ambulance services and helicopter transport teams for rapid transfer of critically ill or injured patients
  • Support staff includes Emergency Department technicians and Certified Emergency Registered Nurses
  • Local candidates will not be considered
  • Must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Housing availability in the area can be limited, so exploring options in advance is recommended
  • No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment
