Job Summary
Charge Nurse Emergency Department Live Oak, Texas. This position involves leading clinical care in a busy Emergency Department with 48 beds and approximately 80 staff members. The role requires managing patient flow, ensuring safety, and supporting team members in a fast-paced environment. The position starts on 10/12/2026 and ends on 01/11/2027, offering an opportunity to contribute to critical patient care initiatives.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and concluding on 01/11/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI). Candidates must possess 1 year of experience as a Charge Nurse or equivalent leadership role, with clinical expertise in emergency or trauma care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a level 1 or 2 Trauma Center and a minimum of 2 years of high-volume Emergency Department experience.
• Additional Information: The position involves rapid patient assessment, management of trauma and cardiac emergencies, and adherence to unit policies. Candidates should be self-motivated team players prepared to work as part of a cohesive team, with strong critical thinking skills and clinical assessment abilities.
