Typical procedures performed include CABG, thoracotomy, endovascular AAA, valve replacement, and pacemaker placements. Weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call shifts are required. Dress code consists of light blue scrubs, which will be provided. The unit features 2 operating room suites and a staff of 6, consisting of 3 registered nurses and 3 certified surgical technologists. Day shift staffing is maintained, with a patient ratio of 1:1. The unit utilizes electronic medical records (EMR) and employs Meditech software.
