Count surgical instruments, sponges, needles, and other supplies before, during, and after procedures.

Monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.

Operate and assist with surgical equipment according to established protocols.

Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the surgical team during procedures.

Handle specimens appropriately, ensuring proper labeling and delivery according to facility protocols.

Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and draping under the direction of the surgical team.

Clean, disinfect, and prepare the operating room between procedures.
