Description: Diagnoses include a wide variety of surgical cases. The unit performs general, obstetrical/gynecological, thoracic, urology, orthopedic, and neuro/spinal surgeries among others. Familiarity with scopes and fiber optic equipment is necessary. Call is required, with up to 12 days per month, including every other weekend. Potential to float within the facility and to other locations as needed. A minimum of 1 year of experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted with the appropriate experience. Candidates will be required to work if their assignment period includes major holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Full compliance is required to ensure a timely start. All compliance documents must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment. Candidates should have familiarity with Epic charting system experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience handling various surgical instruments and adhering to sterilization protocols. Candidates should bring a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication skills. This role is integral to the surgical team, requiring attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure.
