Job Title: CST/ORT Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: OR Duration: 9 weeks Shift: 06:00 - 16:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: CST, BLS Certifications: CST, BLS Must-Have: - Must have CVOR experience - Must have at least 2 travel assignments Description: Certification is mandatory. Extensive relevant CVOR experience is required. Experience in the scrub role for procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, and VATS is necessary. First assist experience and proficiency are preferred but not required. Patient ratios include 1 scrub and 1 circulator for all cases. Pump cases will require a first assist/heart holder. The types of procedures performed on the unit include VAD insertions, TAVR, lobectomies, and pacemaker/AICD insertions. Candidate should be familiar with circulatory arrest, femoral cannulation, and septal myectomy. Unit staffing includes a unit secretary, charge nurse, PCA, and core tech. Documentation system used is Cerner. On-call shifts will be assigned and rotated among staff. Floating may occur if needed but is infrequent. Client surgical attire policy must be followed.
