License: Must have a valid license prior to start date
Certifications: BLS, NBSTSAS
Must-Have:
Must be able to receive lines from perfusion and prepare them for cannulation.
Experience with vascular and thoracic surgery cases is essential.
Call requirement of 90-120 hours in a 6-week schedule.
Travel experience is required.
Description:
Candidates should possess a strong background in cardiovascular surgery.
They will be responsible for receiving pump lines from perfusion and preparing them for cannulation.
Experience in the following procedures is required:
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair,
Atherectomy,
Atrial Septal Defect Repair,
Cardiomyoplasty,
Carotid Endarterectomy,
Coronary Artery Bypass Graft,
Endovascular Aneurysm Repair,
Endovascular Aortic Repair,
Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft,
Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery,
Mitral Valve Replacement,
Pericardial Window,
Robotic Assisted Cardiac Surgery,
Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement,
Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair,
Ventricular Assist Device,
Heart and Lung Transplant,
Valve Replacement, and
Aortic Dissection.
Candidates must be available for weekend shifts.
They should be proficient in teamwork within an interdisciplinary support environment.
Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate locations.
All travelers are required to adhere to call schedules and other operational policies.
Additional experience in trauma care is preferred.
