The electronic medical record system used is Cerner Surginet. Report to the Clinical Supervisor. There is also an OR Director and an OR Manager. OR Techs are available. Weekend requirements will be covered by call. Holidays will also be covered by call. Call is expected 1 to 2 weeknights per week. Weekend call is approximately once a month from the end of shift Friday until 6:30 am Monday. Scrubs are provided. Telemetry equipment is Philips. Ventilators are available. There is no hospitalist or intensivist in-house. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts may consist of 8, 10, or 12 hours. Mid shifts start at 9 am or 10:45 am. There is no floating required. Floor-specific orientation consists of 1 shift with a preceptor. Common diagnoses and types of patients in this unit include CVOR CABG, valve surgeries, pacemakers, lead extractions, and lung cases. The cancellation policy allows for the cancellation of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment and 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks. The charting system used is Cerner. A BSN is not required. There is no specific license requirement to submit an application. The trauma level is unspecified. The care setting is acute. The division is allied health.
