Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to procedures.
Maintain and protect the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
Anticipate the surgeon’s needs based on knowledge of the procedure being performed.
Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and surgical team as needed.
Assist with surgical room setup and turnover.
Ensure instruments and equipment are properly accounted for before, during, and after procedures.
Follow infection prevention, sterilization, and safety protocols.
