- Weekly Pay:$1670 to $1870
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are available and functioning properly
- Set up and maintain sterile fields throughout surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during operations
- Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps according to established protocols
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to promote efficient workflow
- Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transfer before and after procedures
- Clean, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and equipment following infection prevention standards
- Ensure compliance with sterile technique, infection control practices, and operating room safety guidelines
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other operating room staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with inventory management of surgical supplies
- Support quality patient care while maintaining a safe surgical environment
Requirements
- Active Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred or required by facility
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Technician/Surgical Tech experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience assisting with a variety of surgical specialties in an acute care hospital
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and infection prevention practices
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with lifting and positioning patients
- Commitment to patient safety and delivering exceptional surgical support
