- Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
- Setting: Operating Room (Level I Trauma)
What You’ll Do
- Assist surgeons during a wide range of operative procedures
- Maintain sterile field and ensure proper instrumentation and supplies
- Anticipate surgical team needs and provide efficient intraoperative support
- Prepare and handle surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
- Collaborate with OR staff to ensure safe, effective patient care
Case Mix
- Orthopedic (strong experience required)
- Trauma and general surgery
- GYN, urology, and plastics
- Robotic (DaVinci) procedures
- Neuro spine and complex head & neck cases
- Exploratory laparotomy (ex-lap) cases
Schedule & Details
- 4x10 day shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
- On-call required (up to 6 shifts per 13-week assignment)
- Floating required across multiple ORs
- Holiday coverage required if it falls on scheduled days
Must-Have Credentials
- CST (NBSTSA) OR minimum 3 years of Surgical Tech experience
- BLS (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Surgical Tech experience (or 3 years in lieu of certification)
- Level I trauma experience
- Strong orthopedic surgery experience
Preferred Experience
- Previous travel experience
- Experience with robotics (DaVinci)
- Broad OR background across multiple specialties
