St. Louis Park, MN – Certified Surgical Tech (OR | 10-Hour Shifts | No Call)
Quick Glance:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts (days/evenings; variable start times)
- Shift Times: 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM starts
- Call: None
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- Assignment Length: 8 weeks
- Setting: Operating Room (OR)
- Experience: 2+ years recent CST experience required
- Charting System: EPIC
Scope of Role:
- Support surgical teams in a fast-paced operating room environment
- Scrub and assist in a wide range of surgical procedures
- Ensure sterile technique and maintain surgical field integrity throughout cases
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for procedures
- Scrub and assist surgeons during operative cases
- Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain efficient workflow
- Handle instrumentation for general, orthopedic, and specialty procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards
- Assist with room turnover and supply management
- Document procedures and support workflow in EPIC
Must-Have Credentials:
- Active CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
- Experience with EPIC EMR
Required Experience:
- General surgical procedures
- DaVinci robotic cases
Preferred Experience:
- Orthopedics (totals and trauma)
- Neuro
- Peripheral vascular
- Cardiovascular procedures
Work Environment:
- High-volume OR with diverse case mix
- Collaborative surgical team environment
- Floating may be required within OR as needed
Additional Details:
- No on-call requirement
- Weekend and holiday shifts as needed
- Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed
- Submission requires resume, active certifications, skills checklist, and prescreen
