Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Travel Contract

Location: Greensburg, PA - 15601
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Shift: Day Shift | 4x10 Hours (7:00 AM–5:30 PM or 9:00 AM–7:30 PM)

Schedule & Call

• Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule.
• On-call required (weekday and weekend rotation).
• Float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel assignment in Greensburg, PA. The CST will assist the surgical team by preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile technique, handling surgical instruments, and supporting a variety of surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies before procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout surgeries.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and anticipating procedural needs.
• Perform instrument counts and specimen handling according to facility protocols.
• Support surgical specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Robotics, Gynecology, Urology, Vascular, and Bariatrics.
• Assist with room turnover, stocking supplies, and preparing rooms for upcoming cases.
• Follow safety standards, universal protocols, and infection control procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Certified Surgical Technologist experience.
• Previous travel assignment experience required.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.
• Experience with Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery preferred.
• Cerner experience preferred.
