Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services under OT supervision, implementing treatment plans and therapeutic activities for residents.
- Assist with activities of daily living and therapeutic exercises prescribed by the supervising occupational therapist.
- Document patient progress, response to treatment, and any changes to plans of care in a timely, accurate manner.
- Prepare and set up equipment and supplies, ensure proper positioning, and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Communicate effectively with the OT team, nursing staff, residents, and families as appropriate to support patient goals and continuity of care.
- Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control practices while delivering care.
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the United States; state-specific licensure required for the assignment.
- Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
- Ability to work effectively in a long-term care facility setting and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.
- Willingness to adhere to scheduled shift times and assignment start date.
